Join Us in Prayer for Our Schools

At Cumberland United Methodist Church, we are committed to lifting up our local schools in prayer. Every weekday at 11:30 AM, we gather to pray for students, teachers, staff, and families in the Central Indiana area. We invite you to join us in this time of encouragement, support, and unity as we seek God’s guidance and protection over our schools.

We’d love for you to join us as we pray for the well-being of our community!

Telling the Grown-Up Stories from Childhood

 Sermon Series in November

This November, we’re taking a deeper look at some of the most familiar stories from Sunday School—Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, and Daniel in the Lion’s Den—but through the eyes of grown-ups. These aren’t just children’s tales; they are bold, complex stories about faith, trust, courage, and perseverance in the face of overwhelming odds.

Each week we’ll explore how these ancient narratives continue to speak into our adult lives—reminding us that God equips us, walks with us, and remains faithful even in the hardest chapters. We’ll uncover the layers we might’ve missed when we first heard these stories, and ask what they mean for us now.

Scripture focus:
🕊️ Week 1 (Nov 10): Noah – Genesis 6:14
🪨 Week 2 (Nov 17): David – 1 Samuel 17:32–49
🦁 Week 3 (Nov 24): Daniel – Daniel 6:10–23

Come expecting more than nostalgia—come ready for new insight, honest questions, and renewed trust.
