Adult Sunday Learning
Adults looking to expand their knowledge of the Bible may join Cumberland United Methodist Church (CUMC) on Sundays at 11:15 AM for our Sunday Learning classes. Our classes are multi-generational and look at Biblical topics and practical application for today’s living.
- Our Christian Living class studies and discusses various books of the Bible or may read and discuss a Christian book series.
Small Group
Small groups are based on the small group experience as outlined in The Class Meeting by Kevin Watson. Our small groups are called The Wesley Group after John Wesley, our Methodism founder. You have the option of sharing about your personal faith relationship with God for the past week. Confidentiality is a must to maintain safety and trust. If you are looking for a more intimate relationship with our creator, these groups may be just what you want. Our Wesley Groups meet on:
- Tuesdays at 1:00 PM
- Tuesdays at 6:30 PM
Women’s Group
Women’s group gives ladies of all ages the opportunity to meet with other ladies to fellowship, study the Bible, or put your faith into action by serving the community. The Deborah Circle is a women’s group that meets the second Tuesday of the month at varying locations such as a member’s home or restaurant.
Musical Groups
Do you love music and want to share your gifts with other fellow musicians? Are you wanting to develop more of your musical skills? Cumberland United Methodist Church (CUMC) offers a variety of musical options depending on your interest and skills.
We have a group of dedicated volunteers who provide a variety of music to enhance our worship experience and engage the congregation in lifting their voices up to praise our Lord Jesus. Opportunities to serve with other fellow music enthusiasts include:
- Alleluia Bell Choir meets Wednesdays 6:30 PM
- Praise Team is scheduled as needed
- Choir is scheduled as needed
- Opportunities exist to participate as soloist, duet, trio, quartet, or other options (express your interest to our Music Director or Worship Leader)
Only requirement is that you want to share your musical ability in this group. No previous singing or bell playing required.
