MISSION CERTIFICATES

Mission activities at CUMC are not a budgeted item. One way the Missions Committee raises funds used for missions is through the Mission Certificate Program. Every Sunday Terri Reese sells Kroger and Kohl's gift cards in the narthex. The Kroger gift cards are $25 and can be used for gas as well as groceries. We receive 5% of the amount reloaded on the cards when we reach $5000. After using the first $25, please keep the card and reload it. Terri also sells the Kohl's Gift Cards. These cards can be used for gifts, or they can also be used to pay your Kohl's charge in the store. The money raised through Kroger and Kohl's is used to purchase needed items for Missions that we do not receive donations for such as paper goods, milk and lemonade for our Mission Dinners at Fletcher Place.

COME Ministry - Community Outreach Ministry Eastside

Again  we must come to you sharing information that the COME food pantry is extremely low on all items. Our food pantry is heavily used and always in need of replenishment, and now again, we are in extreme need of pantry items. If you are able to share, even just a little, please do so.

This is an ongoing obligation that ten churches have determined to fulfill and even in very difficult circumstances we are continuing to share ourselves with our neighbors who are needing help. We help in several ways, but most importantly we help to keep food on tables on the eastside of Indianapolis. That alone is a huge task. Thank you for  remembering COME. Without you it would not be possible to do what we do day in and day out. We are taking care of the poor and needy which is a directive from Christ to ‘Feed my sheep’.

Monetary donations can be made to COME by indicating COME on the memo line of your check made payable to the church. Our organization is a 501-C3 therefore your donation is tax deductible.

Food items needed are: canned fruits and fruit juices, canned vegetables, canned meats and meals, canned soups, tuna, boxed macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, crackers, instant coffee, tea, sugar, flour, cooking oil, dry milk (small packages only), boxed puddings and Jell-o, cookies, candy, cake mixes and baby food, etc.

Non food items needed: bath soaps, shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste & brushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, diapers (all sizes), laundry detergent, dish soap, trash bags, toilet tissue, facial tissue, etc.

Thank you!
